“Lovelly hotel located in the heart of Stockholm. A great room with loads of classy touches and comfy beds to spend time in whilst exploring Stockholm. The street can be noisy late in the evening with boy racers, but it is quite nice to sit on the balcony and watch the hustle of the city. Breakfast is fantastic, and the lobby bar is nice with live DJ's on Fridays and Saturdays. The room shown is the deluxe room, and is well worth the premium. Rooms and hotel as a whole is very clean and well maintained.”
“The location is fantastic, you stay in the city center and can walk to every place. My room was (room with queen size double bed, 2nd floor) spacious enough, clean and very quite. Bed was a bit soft for me but still I had a comfortable sleep. The breakfast was rich, fresh and delicious. I was happy with my stay at Kung Carl.”
“Great hotel. Nice building, large rooms, comfortable, well designed. Location is very central, noisy, but worth it. Staff are extra nice. Very good breakfast with a wide variety.”
“I stayed here for a 2 nights business trip. The location is great and very central. It’s an old hotel and very charming but that also means that the rooms are small and noise travels very easily. I could hear my neighbours coughing and turning in their beds, I could not rest at all and slept very poorly due to the noise. The service at the reception was very friendly and helpful. On both evenings I had 2 drinks at the bar. On the 1st night after paying and asking for my bill, the bartender made a sexist comment: “Give it to your husband”. Besides assuming my marital status and sexual orientation, he also assumed that I cannot pay my bill and it would be my “husband” paying for it. The 2nd evening that person was not there anymore. The cocktails were good but there was no service outside on the terrace. They would bring the drinks out after ordering inside but they would not come back to clean the tables, all tables were full of empty glasses. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast, absolutely delicious and with great variety and great service as well.”
“Bit hung on the judgement of this hotel. The athmosphere is quite nice, its a building with character. The room I had was small, which in itself is OK, but it was on the sixth floor, under the roof, looking out over the patio. No airco, just airflow management. So that means - hot, even in sping. Since breakfast is on the patio, also noisy in the morning. Small elevators that take a lot of (waiting) time getting you up and down. Breakfast is good, but this not an experience worth 200+ euro’s a night. Next time, different place.”
