Sverige — hotels, stays and tours

Priser og opplysninger kontrollert 5. oktober 2026.

Sweden in this guide is four options: a Malmö hotel, a High Coast glamping farm, Arctic glass rooms in Jokkmokk, and Stockholm day tours. They barely overlap, so pick by season and style. Compare prices, locations, and winter access before booking.

Choose by the trip you want

In Sweden, summer runs from June to August, while winter stretches from November or December to March. Daylight varies dramatically across the year, from 17 to 18 hours in Stockholm during midsummer down to six or seven hours in midwinter.

Matching your itinerary to the right base keeps travel straightforward. TwentySix Hotel provides an urban hotel in southern Sweden, Glamping Höga Kusten offers farm living and river stays, Peace & Quiet Nature Hotel covers Arctic glass cabins, and Sweden History Tours delivers guided day trips.

Malmö, if you want a city base

TwentySix Hotel is the single conventional city stay in this collection, located 0.4 km from Malmö city center. Single rooms start at 1,195 SEK a night, standard double rooms with king beds start at 1,695 SEK, and the executive suite for up to four guests starts at 2,495 SEK. Digital check-in allows arrival from 15:00, while check-out is set for 11:00.

Length of stay dictates how the property functions best. Short trips cover anything from a single overnight to a full week, whereas extended stays support project workers and relocations for up to three months. Facilities include an outdoor courtyard seating 20 guests and a secret speakeasy meeting room hidden behind a bookshelf for up to eight people.

The High Coast, if you want farm life or whisky

Glamping Höga Kusten operates across two distinct locations in eastern Sweden. The primary farm setting in Undrom remains open year-round, offering glamping tents and the off-grid Hillside A-frame cabin from 1,750 SEK per person a night. Stays include welcome coffee, a fire-cooked two-course dinner, breakfast, and wood-fired sauna access, though individual guests take a deliberate digital break with no Wi-Fi.

The secondary seasonal site beside the High Coast Distillery in Bjärtrå opens from June to September. One-night glamping packages start at 2,625 SEK per person, including lunch, dinner, breakfast, a distillery tour, and a Saturday whisky tasting. Guests can also add a private wood-fired hot tub soak for 750 SEK, available from April to November.

Jokkmokk, if you are chasing the northern lights

Peace & Quiet Nature Hotel places off-grid glass cabins directly into the Arctic wilderness of Swedish Lapland. Cabins span four separate areas that can sit up to 250 km apart, making advance confirmation of your exact site essential before traveling. Floating glass rooms start at 463 EUR a night, while mountain glass rooms start at 1,424 EUR a night.

Seasonal conditions dictate how you arrive at your room. In warmer months, getting to the site requires a 15-minute walk through the forest from the parking area carrying a backpack. In winter, guests meet in Jokkmokk for a snowmobile transfer across the ice directly to their cabin. Rooms contain a kitchenette and private toilet, while bathing relies on wild lake dips in summer or ice sauna sessions in winter.

Stockholm, if you want expert guided day trips

Sweden History Tours provides day trips and private excursions rather than overnight lodging. Operating out of Stockholm, their catalog of 74 experiences ranges from three-hour city walks to eight-hour historical journeys across the surrounding countryside. A five-hour fika and subway art tour starts at 750 SEK per person, while a three-hour Alfred Nobel biographical tour starts at 1,450 SEK per person.

Private groups can book dedicated excursions that handle all local transport and museum entry. A three-hour private tour covering Gamla Stan, a ferry ride, and admission to the Vasa Museum costs 6,000 SEK for up to five guests. Transfers can also double as sightseeing, including a three-hour guided Viking route from Arlanda airport to city hotels for 3,500 SEK per group.

Combining your bases across Sweden

Combining two or more of these stays creates a complete Swedish itinerary, but transfer distances require realistic planning. Malmö sits in the far south, the High Coast sits in the middle of the country, and Jokkmokk lies above the Arctic Circle. Flying or taking long-distance trains bridges the gaps between the urban south and northern wilderness.

Seasonality determines which combination works best. Summer suits a pairing of a Malmö city break with a June to September distillery glamping stay in Bjärtrå, followed by guided Stockholm tours. Winter shifts the focus north, where a year-round Undrom farm stay or a Jokkmokk glass cabin puts snowmobiling and northern lights viewing at the center of the journey.
