Öresundsbron Viewpoint

Öresundsbron Viewpoint is an informal roadside viewpoint in Limhamn, not a museum or monument, set up to look out over the Öresund Bridge and the strait toward Denmark. It sits at Utsiktsvägen 10 in 216 11 Limhamn, just north of the bridge landing, and the access road itself is called Utsiktsvägen. The bridge it overlooks began construction in 1995 and opened to traffic on 1 July 2000, and the small building below the platform was first used in 1998 for an Öresund exhibition about the bridge project before later being used as the conference venue Luftkastellet. What makes this spot notable is the clear west-facing view of the bridge, Malmö, and passing ships in the Öresund Strait, with free parking right by the viewpoint and no formal admission. It is open all day and night, so the best time to go is on a clear day with good light, especially for photos of the bridge spanning out over the water.
