HOPE Smålandsgatan
HOPE Smålandsgatan is the Stockholm flagship-style shop of the Swedish fashion label HOPE, selling minimalist, androgynous clothing, tailored outerwear, denim, shoes, bags, and accessories. The brand was founded in 2001 by designer Ann Ringstrand and buyer Stefan Söderberg, both former H&M colleagues; its first store opened in central Stockholm in 2006, and the label later won the Guldknappen fashion award in 2010. The shop stands at Smålandsgatan 14 in Bibliotekstan, beside Norrmalmstorg and close to Kungsträdgården, making it convenient to combine with the district’s other Scandinavian design and fashion stores. HOPE is particularly known for uniform-inspired silhouettes, precise tailoring, high-quality materials, and its decision in 2017 to present all clothing as unisex, with both men’s and women’s size labels. Current published hours are Monday to Friday 11:00–18:30, Saturday 11:00–17:00, and Sunday 12:00–16:00; the compact store is easiest to browse on weekday mornings.
