Skinnarviksberget

Skinnarviksberget is not a building or a monument but a natural rocky hill and viewpoint on Södermalm in Stockholm, known as the highest natural point in central Stockholm, at about 53 meters above sea level. It has long been used as a local picnic spot and open-air gathering place, and the park below the hill includes Skinnarviksparken with a small playground and an open-air café. It sits above Söder Mälarstrand on the island’s northwestern side, with views over Kungsholmen, Gamla Stan, Stockholm City Hall, and the waterways around central Stockholm. The site is special for its broad city panorama and its quieter, more local atmosphere compared with more famous lookout points like Monteliusvägen. There are no set opening hours or reservations, and the best time to go is in daylight or at sunset, when the views are clearest and the rocks are most heavily used by people sitting out with food and drinks.
