Malandsbadet

Inspired by the site's history and with a focus on play, accessibility and sustainability, the bath has undergone a transformation that makes it an obvious summer destination for the whole family. A place where history meets the future, and where play, water and community are at the center. Malandsbadet has been a popular place since the 1960s and is beautifully located in northern Sundsvall. Now the bath has received a major boost with a new entrance, improved signage, bicycle parking and restored sun stairs on three levels. The bath is easily accessible by foot and bike from several residential areas. The new splash area offers water play with fountains, water gutters and ground nozzles that spray water. A children's pool with a mini fountain and a playground with a robinia wood climbing frame make the area ideal for children of all ages. Awnings provide shade on hot days and solid oak benches made by local craftsmen create a pleasant environment for resting and picnicking. There is also a kiosk selling ice cream and coffee.
