Hyllievångsparken

Hyllievångsparken is a large urban park in Hyllie, Malmö, on Ymers Gata in the Vintrie area, and it is planned as a 6.5-hectare green core for the district. The park is a Malmö city resilience project that grew out of the green planning work linked to Bo01, the housing exposition held in 2001, and the first northern part opened before the rest of the park is completed. Its design includes fruit groves, self-picking areas, a theme playground, varied planting zones, stormwater channels, and social meeting places, with landscape architecture by Stina Linder at Ekologigruppen. The park is known for its flood management and for being intentionally unfinished, with new parts added as Hyllie develops, and the full park has been described as scheduled for completion around 2029 or, in a broader district plan, 2040. There are no standard museum-style opening hours, and the most practical time to go is during daylight, when the planted areas, paths, and the raised hill and tower features are easiest to explore.
