Norra Törnskogen
Norra Törnskogen is a kommunalt naturreservat, a protected urban-edge forest area in Upplands Väsby that belongs to the larger Törnskogen landscape at the Sollentuna border. It was protected in 2016 and covers about 103 hectares, with a mix of pine forest, swamp forest, and wetland. The reserve stretches around Frestavägen and Grönanvägen and is reached from the sign for Törnskogens naturreservat; there is a small visitor parking area with about ten spaces. What makes it stand out is its strong wilderness feel, with rocky pine woods, wetter hollows, and a well-developed trail network that also connects into Sollentuna’s side of Törnskogen and the Rösjökilen green corridor. There are no fixed opening hours, so people usually go there by day, and the best access by car is via Frestavägen and Grönanvägen or by bus to nearby stops such as Fornboda or Vaxmora.
