Råstasjön

Råstasjön is a nature reserve around the lake Råstasjön in central Solna, not a building or monument. The area was protected in 2017 and covers about 40 hectares, including 18.5 hectares of water, and is managed by Solna stad. It sits in Råsunda, close to Strawberry Arena and Mall of Scandinavia, with a walking loop of about 2.1 kilometers around the lake. What makes it notable is the birdlife: the lake is one of the county’s most important bird lakes, with many nesting waterfowl and a large black-headed gull colony, and the shoreline also has mixed woodland, old pines, and large oaks. It is open all day, every day, so the easiest time to go is whenever you want a quiet walk, birdwatching, or a loop that connects with the neighboring Lötsjön area.
