Drop Coffee Roasters

Drop Coffee Roasters is an independent specialty-coffee café and roastery at Wollmar Yxkullsgatan 10, beside Mariatorget and its metro station on Södermalm, Stockholm. Joanna Alm and Stephen Leighton founded Drop Coffee in 2009 as a small coffee bar, began roasting their own beans in 2010, and moved to small-batch production on a Diedrich IR-25 roaster in 2013. The café is known for carefully sourced coffees, transparent producer relationships, and a silver medal in the World Coffee Roasting Championships; Joanna Alm has also competed successfully in Swedish and world roasting competitions. It serves brewed coffee and espresso alongside pastries and light café food in the original Drop Coffee space near Mariatorget. Current listed hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00; weekday mornings are generally the busiest period.
