NK Saluhall

NK Saluhall is the food hall on the lower level of Nordiska Kompaniet, the landmark department store at Hamngatan 18–20 beside Kungsträdgården and close to Norrmalmstorg in central Stockholm. It brings together specialist counters for fish and seafood, meat, cheese, chocolate, bread, pastries, vegetarian food and prepared meals; Melanders handles seafood, while ROT Butik & Kök, founded by Anne and Pär Eriklin with Sanna Stolt, has operated there since 2021. NK’s food traditions include NK Korv & Glass, established in 1973, and NK Bröd now works with award-winning baker Johan Sörberg, whose range includes bread, buns, cakes and pastries from Art Bakery. The hall is best suited to weekday lunch or early afternoon, when the counters are fully operating and the atmosphere is less crowded; the standard department-store hours are Monday–Friday 10:00–19:00, Saturday 10:00–18:00 and Sunday 11:00–17:00. Melanders accepts reservations for groups of up to eight, with its restaurant generally open Monday–Friday 11:00–18:00, Saturday 11:30–18:00 and Sunday 11:30–17:00.
