Oscar Jacobson

Oscar Jacobson at Birger Jarlsgatan 6 is a men’s tailoring and clothing boutique in Stockholm’s Östermalm district, about 150 metres from Östermalmstorg and close to Berzelii park. The company was founded in Borås in 1903 by Oscar Jacobson and became known for making ready-to-wear suits in standard sizes, an important change from the made-to-measure system then dominant in Sweden. Its collection focuses on suits, jackets, trousers, shirts, knitwear and accessories, with the Stockholm store also offering Custom Made appointments. Oscar Jacobson has held the title of Royal Court Supplier since 1980, when it was appointed by King Carl XVI Gustaf. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00; book ahead for made-to-measure consultations, especially on Saturdays.
