Lötsjön

Lötsjön is a small lake in Sundbyberg, north of Stockholm, and the main part of the Lötsjön-Golfängarna nature reserve, which was established in 2017 and expanded to 28 hectares. It is not a built attraction but a natural park area centered on a bird-rich lake, with a 1.4-kilometre promenade, fountains, open lawns, woodland patches, playgrounds, a paddling pool, and sports areas. The lake sits by Duvbo metro station and connects at its southern edge with Golfängarna, a park area that was once a golf course; together they form Sundbyberg’s best-known green corridor toward Råstasjön. What makes it distinctive is the mix of urban nature and wildlife, especially the many water birds, plus the easy walking loop that draws joggers, families, and picnic-goers year-round. There are no entrance fees or set opening hours, and the most practical time to go is in spring and early summer, when the birds are active and the park is at its greenest.
