Teknikens och Sjöfartens Hus

Teknikens och Sjöfartens Hus is Malmö Museum’s technology and maritime museum, showing exhibitions on engineering, vehicles, shipping, science, and the history of flight; it also includes the Wisdome Malmö dome cinema, a playroom, and a museum shop. It is at Malmöhusvägen 7A in 211 18 Malmö, right beside the old fiskehoddorna and close to Malmöhus Castle on Slottsholmen. The museum is part of Malmö Museum and is built around hands-on displays, including a real submarine, HMS U3, which served from 1943 to 1964, plus historic aircraft and engines. Malmö stad lists regular opening hours as Tuesday to Sunday, with Mondays closed except during school holidays, and Thursday evening opening until 19:00, which is usually the calmest time to come. Entrée is free for children and young people up to 19, and adult tickets are sold on site, so it is straightforward to visit without much advance planning.
