ASPLUND

ASPLUND is a Swedish furniture, carpet, lighting, and interior-design showroom at Sibyllegatan 31 in Stockholm’s Östermalm district. Founded in 1990 by brothers Michael and Thomas Asplund, it began as a gallery presenting furniture as art; the original gallery was designed by Jonas Bohlin, and the company moved to its larger Sibyllegatan premises in 1995. The store displays ASPLUND’s own collection alongside carefully selected contemporary design, including the SNOW storage series, launched in 1994, and works developed with designers such as Thomas Sandell and Claesson Koivisto Rune. Sandra Adrian Asplund has served as creative director since 1995, while the shop also houses ASPLUND Studio, which provides interior-design advice for private homes and public spaces. Current temporary store hours are Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 12:00 to 16:00; Sunday is closed, and consultations can be booked through the studio.
