Borenshults slussar

The Borenshult locks, which connect the Göta Canal with Lake Boren, are a popular destination. The height difference between the lake and the canal is just over 15 meters, making the flight of locks with the five locks the steepest in the canal. Here you can witness the spectacle that unfolds during the locking process, see old meet new, and be fascinated by the fact that the old technology still works today. A couple of thousand boats make trips on the canal each season, so there is busy traffic in Borenshult.
