Lilla Ego

Lilla Ego is a modern Swedish restaurant at Västmannagatan 69 in Vasastan, Stockholm, serving contemporary interpretations of Swedish classics with seasonal fish, meat, vegetables, cured ingredients and root vegetables. It opened in November 2013, founded by chefs Tom Sjöstedt and Daniel Räms, both former winners of Sweden’s Årets Kock competition. The compact restaurant has an open kitchen, roughly 40 dining-room seats, a bar area with some unreserved places and a private event floor. Its Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition reflects the combination of ambitious cooking and relatively moderate pricing, while familiar dishes such as raggmunk with vendace roe are among its distinctive offerings. Lilla Ego serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 17:00 until late and is closed Sunday and Monday; reservations are released about one month ahead, while arriving at opening time can offer a chance of finding a bar seat.
