Marabouparken
Marabouparken is a public park and sculpture park in Sundbyberg, with Marabouparken Konsthall, a contemporary art gallery, on the same site. The Marabou chocolate company was established in Sundbyberg in 1916, and the park was developed for the company’s employees; landscape architect Sven Hermelin worked on it from 1937 to 1955. It sits at Löfströms allé 7–9, with the postal address Löfströmsvägen 8, 172 66 Sundbyberg, next to the old Marabou factory area and close to Sundbyberg station. The park is known for its functionalist landscape design, a sculpture collection including works by 20th-century pioneers, and the fact that it was elected Sweden’s most beautiful park in 2008. The park is usually open May to October from 8:00 to 21:00, while the art hall is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00, and the on-site Savannah restaurant serves during the same general opening period.
