Museum of Technology

Museum of Technology, officially Tekniska museet and the National Museum of Science and Technology, is Sweden’s national museum for technology and industrial heritage, with a large collection of artifacts, images, archives, and hands-on exhibitions. It was founded in 1924 and moved to its current Gärdet site in Stockholm later, at Museivägen 7 in the Museum Park on Djurgården, near the Royal Djurgården cultural area and accessible by bus to Museiparken. The museum is known for its interactive galleries, its 14,000-square-meter premises, and Wisdome Stockholm, the 360-degree spherical dome for immersive science experiences. It was created as an institution rather than by a single founder, and it preserves more than 55,000 objects tied to Sweden’s technological and industrial history. It is open daily from 9:00 to 21:00, and the museum recommends checking for holiday changes and booking Wisdome tickets separately if you want that experience.
