Timrå Kustvandring

Hike along Timrå's 9 mile long coast. You can walk alone or in a group on our Thursday walks. On our website there are circular loops, FAR maps, Åstö map for hiking and cycling. In 2016, an idea began to grow about a hiking trail along the entire coast of Timrå. In 2017, we received funding from Leader Mittland plus to conduct a feasibility study to investigate the possibilities of creating this trail. The preliminary study was reported in August 2020 and showed that there were good opportunities to establish a 9-mile coastal walk from Timrå railway station to Åvike mill, which is located right on the border with Härnösand municipality. This trail covers virtually the entire coastline of the municipality and provides the opportunity to connect to the Höga kusten trail via Härnösand and to the St. Olaf trail in Selånger, Keep an eye on our social media for upcoming activities.
