Timrå Kyrka

A Church with History Many archaeological findings suggest that the Timrådalen has been a rich country where many from different parts of the world have sought for trade and holidays. Next to Timrå church, iron age graves have been found as well as a chamber grave from the 400s or 500s. In hearings in connection with the renovation of the present Timrå Church, it has been found that the "new" church which was built was inaugurated in 1796 was erected in the same place as the former medieval church of the 14th century, which in turn was placed on a former medieval church from the 13th century.
