Far i Hatten

Far i Hatten is a casual Scandinavian restaurant and bar inside Malmö’s Folkets Park that serves wood-fired pizzas, seasonal dishes, natural wines, and craft beers. The building dates back to 1894 and is the oldest structure in the park, originally serving as a café before becoming the current restaurant after a 2013 ownership change. It sits at Falsterbogatan 24 (postal code 214 36/37) in the Möllevången district, nestled among trees and greenery just off the main park entrance. The place is notable for its year-round heated cabin, large outdoor terrace with ping-pong tables, disco balls, and evening DJ sets that turn it into a biergarten and dance spot. Open most days from midday or 3 PM until late night (Monday 15–23, Tuesday–Thursday 15–00, Friday 15–01, Saturday 12–01, Sunday 12–22), it’s cash-free and best visited in the evening for drinks and pizza, especially on weekends when it gets lively with families, friends, and first-time daters.
