Form/Design Center

Form/Design Center is a public design and architecture venue, not a single museum object, and it functions as southern Sweden’s leading platform for architecture, design and crafts. It was established in 1964 through Svensk Form, the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, and is now run by the non-profit association Svensk Form Syd. It is located in the historic Hedmanska Gården complex at Lilla Torg 9 in Malmö’s old town, right by Lilla Torg square, in buildings whose oldest parts date back to 1597. What makes it stand out is the mix of rotating exhibitions, talks, workshops, guided tours, a book and design shop, and a café inside a preserved city-centre courtyard setting. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 17:00, with Sunday and Monday closed, so a weekday or Saturday afternoon visit is the practical choice.
