Café Mittpunkten - Sveriges Geografiska Mittpunkt

Welcome to the summer café Mittpunkten at the Geographical Center of Sweden. The location is on a mountain, Flataklocken, 465 m above sea level on a southern slope and the rock type is diabase; i.e. an igneous rock is a rock type formed by magma solidifying in or above the earth's crust. There is a 360-degree view of the beautiful landscape in Medelpad. In the café you will find waffles and light lunches as well as coffee. Our shrimp sandwiches on homemade tea cakes are very popular. Welcome up on the mountain! Although the café is closed during the low season, Sweden's geographical center, Flataklocken, never closes , bring your own picnic basket & enjoy the view. The road up is crooked & sometimes steep, so if you have a caravan leave it in the village at the village hall or below the foot of the mountain at the roadside. The road is NOT shoveled in winter. With the breathtaking view & the fantastic environment, the rotunda at the geographical center of Sweden will be your obvious choice to rent when you want to celebrate something special.
