Fiskehoddorna
Fiskehoddorna is Malmö’s historic fish market on Banérskajen, a row of old fishing huts where local fishers and seafood sellers still trade fresh fish and shellfish, and in summer there is also a small outdoor serving area. The huts were moved from Citadellkajen to Banérskajen in 1956, and Malmö Museum saved the best-preserved examples from a larger set of around 30 huts that were otherwise due to be demolished. It sits by Banérskajen 7–13, right near Teknikens och Sjöfartens hus and close to Malmö Museum, with the city describing it as the Malmö region’s largest market for fresh fish and seafood. What makes it distinctive is that it is both a working market and a cultural heritage site, with colorful old huts from different periods lined up along the waterfront. The stalls are typically open Tuesday to Friday from 07:00 to 13:00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00, with some sellers also offering lunch or summer seating.
