The world's largest shell banks are 23 in number and here you can hike the Skalbanksslingan in a unique cultural landscape. The plant and insect life is species-rich, and the loop passes both cow pastures, beehives, wastelands and settlements from the Hunter Stone Age. Water lizards swim in the small water ponds and the view is miles out over the Byfjorden and the Uddevalla Bridge.
