Paddla Grytstriangeln i Gryts skärgård

Discover the magical archipelago of Gryt with Gryt's archipelago triangle paddeling route. It is the perfect 3-day route with an overnight stay on Harstena and Häradskär. Experience two unique islands with a rich history.

The tour starts from the kayak center at the far end of Ekön nature reserve. Paddle towards Harstena with a stop at Gubbö kupa and the beautiful sandy beach at Stora Skällö. Then you continue south towards Häradskär, passing Ytterö, through Laxvarp and past Skräckskär, before you reach Häradskär's iconic lighthouse – Gryt's landmark. You are following parts of the medieval King Valdemar's path from the 13th century.

What makes this trip special is that you will discover your own small islands, shaped by the ice cap. Walking barefoot over the polished slabs, which consist of 1.9 billion-year-old ancient rock. This creates an unforgettable feeling. The total distance is about 40 km, depending on which paths you choose and how many of the thousands of islands in Gryt you want to explore.
