Haga Tårtcompani & Bageri Mariatorget
Haga Tårtcompani & Bageri Mariatorget is an artisan bakery and café at Swedenborgsgatan 4B on Södermalm, about 200 metres from Mariatorget and Mariatorget metro station. The company was founded by baker and pastry chef Oscar Målevik and food-science and marketing specialist Anna Cardelius; their first bakery opened on Torsgatan in January 2014 after they had worked together at the gluten-free bakery Friends of Adam. The Mariatorget branch serves sourdough bread, Swedish pastries, buns, coffee and handcrafted cakes, including custom orders and options for different dietary requirements. Its distinctive feature is the bakery’s open-production concept, where cakes and bread are made in view of customers, reflecting the founders’ original idea of a tårteria focused on classic Swedish cakes in modern form. Listed hours are Monday to Friday 7:00–19:00 and Saturday 8:00–17:00; arrive early for the broadest selection of bread and pastries, and contact the bakery in advance for custom cakes.
