Hedengrens Bokhandel

Hedengrens Bokhandel is an independent bookshop inside Sturegallerian at Grev Turegatan 13A, near Stureplan and Östermalmstorg metro station in Stockholm. It began in 1897 as a branch of Isak Mauritz Göthe’s bookshop and took the name Hedengrens in 1918, when employee Hjalmar Hedengren took over the Stureplan store. The shop moved into Sturegallerian after the gallery opened on March 15, 1989, and carries books in English, Swedish, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, and Norwegian, with English titles covering most subjects. Expressen named Hedengrens Sweden’s best bookshop in all categories on its centenary in 1997. It is open weekdays from 10:00 to 19:00, Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00, and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:00.
