Malmstenbutiken
Malmstenbutiken is a specialist furniture and interior-design shop at Humlegårdsgatan 13 in Östermalm, Stockholm, presenting Carl Malmsten’s Swedish furniture designs alongside contemporary pieces, textiles, lighting, carpets, and interior-planning services. Carl Malmsten opened the original shop on Strandvägen 5B in autumn 1940; the business moved to its current, larger premises in late summer 2021, close to the site of Olofskolan, the workshop-school he established in 1930. Its distinction is that it is described as the only place where the complete Carl Malmsten collection still in production can be seen under one roof, including models developed by Malmsten and later produced by specialist manufacturers. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00, and staff can help with made-to-order furniture, fabric selection, lighting, rugs, and delivery planning.
