Wijnjas Wholesale

Wijnjas Wholesale, or Wijnjas Grosshandel, is a specialist cheese and delicatessen shop at Bergsgatan 24 on Kungsholmen, near Rådhuset metro station. It opened in 1979 as a wholesale business supplying cheese to restaurants and later shifted toward retail customers. The shop carries more than 300 cheeses from Europe, alongside charcuterie, olive oils, pasta, marmalade, biscuits, preserves, and other southern European provisions. Its warehouse-like interior and the option to buy precisely the amount of cheese needed make it especially useful for assembling a varied cheese board or finding less familiar regional cheeses. Current hours are Monday and Tuesday 11:00–18:00, Wednesday through Friday 10:00–18:00, Saturday 10:00–15:00, and Sunday 11:00–15:00; the busiest period is typically around Friday afternoon and Saturday lunchtime.
